Friends, Local News Clips

During the past week or so of thunderstorms, blackouts, and generally just bad weather, it is presumed that a friend has lost his life needlessly and carelessly. I certainly hope that I am wrong about my friend’s whereabouts, but it would have to be a miracle. Below are news clips of our once very animated friend.

Campbell police combing creek for drowned man’s body
CAMPBELL — A man fleeing from police drowned yesterday, after jumping into a fast-moving creek in Campbell. Police officers were serving an unrelated search warrant, when the man took off running — thinking the police were coming for him.
He jumped into a creek near San Tomas Expressway. The water was about 10 feet deep, and moving at 20 mph.
Firefighters tried to fish the man out, but he disappeared. His body was not immediately recovered.
